Cricket is the most renowned game in world; its origin is dotted back to the 16th century however the international matches started in the 18th century. Cricket is game which is played by only two object; a bat and ball, the main motive is to take as much as runs as possible and the team with more runs wins the match. Cricket is played between two teams and every team has 11 members. The members are categorized into three; the bowler, the fielder and the batsman.

The definition of a batsman provided in the dictionary is the player at bat in cricket or a person who bats or whose turn it is to bat or a person who is specialized in batting. These definitions are very limited, the person who at batting during the match is not just  person, he is someone who holds thousands of heartbeats, he is someone who is capable of ruling million hearts, he is someone who can bless a nation with happiness and he is someone who can break million heart. People are usually very emotional and their emotions get attached with everything they love, the people who love cricket get attached with this game emotionally, Winning or losing is just a matter of luck but the vast audience who is watching the match take it to their heart when their team loses, all their hopes are tied to the batsman who is on the lead and their eyes remain transfixed to ball which has the key to the trophy.

The batsman are also a source of inspiration for many people, many young man grow up watching these batsman play and this thing triggers a ray of hope in their hearts that they too would one day play for their country and become like their role model. History has seen many batsman, all of them were some extra ordinary but there were and still are some batsman who have this amazing charm, who have cricket in their veins, who are born to play cricket, they have this connection, this passion and enthusiasm who makes them unusual. Suresh kumara raina is an Indian cricket player; he was born in uttar Pradesh but later moved to Kolkata. He made his debut at the age of 18 in a match against Australia. The lefties are usually very extra ordinary people and raina too is left hand batsman which is the reason for his extraordinary performance as a batsman. He is currently standing on threshold of his career as he is only 26 years old, he is no old enough but he has the potential to change the face of cricket history. He was the best batsman in the world during 1930s and is still a legend, he only played 85 matches in his career but he owned the record of the highest runs in the test cricket till 1970. When he was a child he had an old bat which belonged to a soldier, according to Hammond this was the bat which taught him how to play the dynamic strokes he used to give during the matches. He died of a heart attack in 1965.
